café del Born
One of our favorite cafés in the Born, this ultra comfortable space has high ceilings and local artists work displayed on the walls. With it’s great selection of teas and sandwiches they also offer a menu del día and killer brownie sundaes. During the day the space is filled with plenty of chatter and comfy corners to browse the net. A real gem, especially for breakfast on Saturday mornings.
Just ask any member of staff for the password for the Wifi network, (it’s quite loong!) the connection is always good and they are open until quite late inn the evening. Worth a trip if you are hungry in the late evening and just want to drop in so you don’t have to cook at home, catch up on some emails, try the lasagna which isn’t bad at all.
We’ve been visiting café del Born for ages and after a while youbegin to recognise the regular customers, it has quite the mix of characters who make it their extended living room or library hangout, all with different stories Im sure. Another ingredient in what makes a great café even better. Did I mention that the coffee here is really good? Worth mentioning as it really is better than most of the bars in the neighbourhood.
