Might I suggest one of the gems of the Gotico? One that is as special as it is a unique. A high quality boutique fabric shop, Nunoya has the largest selection of Japanese textiles under one roof, not only in Europe, but the whole world. Cabinets filled with reels upon reels of gorgeous materials, funky bags, Japanese footwear, eccentric T-shirts, kimonos and beautiful accessories – the shop can be a hazard to a your wallet. (You have been warned!) Not content with restoring the modernista frescoes the owners found hidden under the painted wallpaper of the shop’s previous owners, they also commissioned a huge mural of storks flying playfully above a Hokusai sea for the back wall. So if you are tired of H&M and Desigual, have a wander down Carrer de la Palla for something different, and there is a cake shop on the corner.
