Farcells Roba Amiga
The concept of the ‘charity store’ is fairly new in Barcelona. The chain of Humana stores have outlets all over the city, but their second-hand clothing tends to be overpriced and not always clean, not to mention that the organisation has been dogged with accusations of fraud over the years. Farcells is managed by the international Catholic NGO Caritas and this shop sells the crème of their donations. On any day, you may find a pair of never-worn Robert Clegerie shoes, some knitwear by Lebor Gabala or a Custo t-shirt. Most of the stock is new (coming from left over end of season collections and shops that have closed down) or as-new, and they stock a permanent collection of vintage cotton and lace nightgowns and bed-linen – all at very reasonable prices.
Hours: 10am to 2pm and 4pm to 8pm
