You might notice that Mercat Del Born has been under construction a while now (more than 10 years in fact). Now the neighbours of El Born are joining together, insisting on the preservation of the original structure and its re-activation of public use through the campaign ‘El Torn Del Born’. So you might also notice that some apartments surrounding the Mercat have creative posters hanging from their balconies supporting the ‘the Born’s return’. The logo is the same as the little tickets you draw when you are waiting for your turn in any government department office! Hopefully with more awareness, more funds will be made available to return the Mercat Del Born to its original glory.
