A favourite among local residents, La Pizza del Born is somewhat of an institution, serving hot pizza and empañadas until late most nights. In the summer months, Passeig del Born becomes the extended dining area that never has a shortage of opportunities for delivery of cold beer at reasonable prices.

Although not the most intelligent of layouts (meaning you are assured a slow queue to the back at busy times) it’s still a great place to pick up some cheap eats if you’re passing by and would like some tasty pizza, all of which are tomato sauce free. So, to compensate, we like the fresh tomato slices and the bacon with mushroom. Empañadas are also really tasty with around five or six types to choose from. Not expensive, always good, always busy, this is where appetites are satisfied at all hours.
