Ok, this is an incredible place, if you can find it. Tucked down a tiny passageway (a passadis) beside a La Caixa bank with no sign outside to mark its location, the Passadis del Pep (sibling of the famous Cal Pep nearby) is a very special treat indeed. Finally made the pilgrimage to what I found to be one of the best seafood meals I have had. You simply sit down, smile and say yes when asked if you would like to have some cava!

What happens next is just a steady procession of beautifully presented (mostly seafood) dishes including at least three varieties of prawn. The photos included here should give you a mighty good impression of what you can expect. Nothing but the freshest seafood, beautifully seasoned and presented and well I’m sure by this point, you can imagine, damn tasty!

We could recommend that you try something or other, but there is no menu and you get to try everything anyway, our favorite were the prawns, all three types of them! If you have a special friend of family in town, this is your chance!
