Good seafood can be expensive and in short supply on the plate in many restaurants but Paradeta consistently tops the list of places in Barcelona for exceptionally fresh and abundant seafood. Always popular with locals and tourists alike you should make plans to come early, around 7.45pm is exactly the right time on a busy night to avoid the very long queues outside and to be sure there will still be some fresh tuna left! Sunday lunch here is a real treat, you can come here and just order their saffron-esque jumbo prawns Cooked with nothing more than salt and olive oil and some salad on the side. Prices are always good value and to give you an indication of how much there is on offer, of all the times I’ve eaten here the idea of desert has never even crossed my mind.
