This unpretentious and classic Italian eatery has the best pizza in town. Murivecchi has its own brick ovens and special pizza sauce as well as friendly staff and a comfortable dining room. It serves some unique pizzas; one of our favourites is ‘Fantasia’- a pizza with all the trimmings including egg, bacon, rocket and mushroom. Also really worth trying is the timbale al duo pesti, which is made with goats cheese, roast eggplant and figs… delicious!

The menu also offers an extensive range of fresh pastas with both meat and vegetarian options, all of which are highly recommended. Don’t forget to have a look through the list of specials of which there are many, they always have a great risotto and seafood dishes. Desert, well you’re on home ground here with the all time crowd-pleaser tiramisu. Reasonable prices and excellent portions, Murivecchi is great for either lunch (12€ including wine) or for dinner.
