By far the best place for seafood in town- this marisquería is also very reasonable priced. The seafood is placed on display in large tubs and then weighed and sent to the back to be either fried or baked- your only two options. Nothing fancy here, just fresh seafood cooked to perfection. Compared to the trendy restaurants so common in El Born (think red lights and bohemian decor) this is more of a fish market you might find by the sea, hauling in nets as you eat, calling your number to pick up you plate from the kitchen. The seafood — crabs, prawns, lobster an squid is picked out at the counter, where it’s weighed and then served up on a platter. The perfect place to take your friends for a true Catalan meal without the tourists and the paella. Make sure to arrive early- there is often a long line stretching around the block to get in.
