La Carassa
Fondue has never gone out of style in our books, and this small family- owned restaurant has been serving up exquisite cheese and chocolate fondues since 1979. Named after the gargoyles on street corners that once signalled a bordello, the restaurant is decorated in a distinct 19thcentury- style; dripping with lace, faded velvet and oil paintings.
Our favourite is the delicious Hanna fondue of Gruyere, Swiss emmental, white wine and kirsch with little pieces of fresh fruit and duck pond bread to dip. For dessert we had a massive chocolate fondue accompanied by strawberries, bananas and all sorts of fruit . A highly recommended find in the Born for a night when you want comfort food in sumptuous surroundings.
