Street Art
Like green patches on old country roads, graffiti emerges from every flat space and gap between buildings in the Born area. Although some come and go with the changes in the structures or with the fading effects of the rain (like the beautiful piece of a young girl etched in charcoal on the side of a building near C/ Fusina), there are always new things to catch your eye.
Dr. Hoffman, Miss Van, Boris Hoppek and many other that have appeared in the neighbourhood in recent years and no matter where you walk, there are always thought provoking or just aesthetically beautiful pieces of street art that add to the charm of the neighbourhood. In a barri this old, the graffiti gives a cool post-modern layer on top of the antique and somehow they complement each other really well.
When we were designing the Born Living logo, the colours we choose tried to fit with the old red brickwork and the vibrant cyan blue that you find in some of the painting in street artwork in the area. Take a walk around the area with a street art perspective, there’s plenty to see. Also worth taking a look at some of the work in Iguapop on C/ Comerç 15 where you will find some street- inspired contemporary artworks.
