Palau Dalmases is located on C/Montcada, one of the most-touristy streets in Barcelona (it’s home of the Museu Picasso) yet remains unnoticed by the thousands that pass by. There is almost no hint that it’s a bar on the large threshold of beautiful 17^th century architecture, except for a small sign about their varying opening hours. You may have a hard time noticing it, but once you find the door, give it a hard knock and you will be let in.

Once through, you will feel like you entering into someone’s home because of the bizarre old-fashioned collections of religious paintings, old couches, and candlelight. There is nothing spectacularly different about the drinks they offer, but Palau Dalmases’ decor is original enough to want to make you come back for more.
