Nakupenda means I love you in swahili- and I love this smoothie/cocktail bar!
By far the best smoothies around- my favorite is the “Banana Kiss”- a mix of banana, pineapple, vanilla and almond- alongside their lovely chicken curry sandwich piled high with lettuce and tomatoes- on their terrace- where you can people watch and take in the rays.
At 6 Euros for a smoothie and a sandwich it’s the perfect weekend hang over fix. At night it’s a hip little bar with great drinks (try any of their smoothies with a splash or two of ron- the “Banana Kiss” becomes the “Banana Bliss”) and a laid back friendly atmosphere where there’s no shame in playing all sorts of 80s hits.
Best place to listen to Culture Club while sipping on a fresh Piña Colada.
From another point of view, there always seems to be large groups of young ladies presumably for the bad music, but well I guess there’s a little compromise in everything. :)
