La Fianna is a real gem as it really captures the restaurant/lounge bar ambience so many places have tried so hard to perfect. Hidden away in a small street in the Born, it’s far enough off the beaten track to keep the tourists away, but still a well-known gathering spot for the international crowd. It has a real Moroccan feel to it and you can’t help but relax and have a good time on one of the dark red velvet sofas or cushion-filled platforms.

The food at Fianna is definitely worth a mention. The tapas are well priced and if you are hungry enough to manage a second course, we recommend you try the roast lamb with onions and plums. They also do American-style brunch on Sundays. La Fianna is a funky place that you’ll be glad you discovered.
