El Rosal
Karachi meets Buenos Aires here at El Rosal with cheap and cheerful Indian food and a subtly cool and much appreciated atmosphere. You can pull up a chair or stool and just site facing outside, it’s a great people watching spot.
El Rosal is a bit of an oasis of spoken Spanish where locals hang out. Pets allowed but only with pedigree owners. The tiny and presumably very hot kitchen will only reveal itself to you after your fourth or fifth visit.
Has to have the best terrace in El Born, recommend you go go in the morning for the sunshine and passing morning around you, cortado and croissant should fit just fine.
Staff are too cool but not pretentious, you want to come again for that subtle acknowledgement and familiarity.
When it’s full its somehow not stressed at all, strangely comfortably packed in the company of friendly strangers, we like it here at lot, like an extension of your living room.
