Dry Martini
There is a swathe of Eixample, roughly around C/s Muntaner and Diputació, that boasts a handful of old-school cocktail bars. You know the sorts; deadpan, white-aproned waiters, an army of single-malts behind the bar, plush sofas and small mahogany tables. In Barcelona, Dry Martini is a much-loved institution. Headed by local character Javier de la Muelas, it has one of the most extensive cocktail lists around, from classic sours and slings to fizzes and mojitos. As is typical of this neck of the woods, the clients tend to be older, establishment types. If you are a bit of stickler to tradition when it comes to cocktail bars, Dry Martini has all the right ingredients.
