Bar Zim

More than ten would be a crowd in this tiny hole in the wall bar, so time it right (early or late evening, it’s only open from 6-10pm) and nab a seat at the bar in front of the smiley Francesc. Bar Zim is an offshoot of La Seu, the fabulous artisan cheese shop next door and Scottish owner Katherine has applied as much love and attention to her new venture as she does to her passion for sourcing farmhouse cheeses across the land. You can order a plate of those here, mixed with a bit of chacuterie, as well a glass or (decantered) bottle of wine from Bar Zim’s select list of 12 or so. Cosy and intimate, Bar Zim is one of the few watering holes left that offer a bite-sized tapa (here called a petón) with each glass of wine.
